Jungle Queen Riverboat, Fort Lauderdale, FL

May 16, 2018. We took a Jungle Queen Riverboat tour. It is officially described as a Tropical Isle Sightseeing Cruise. Completely and humorously narrated by the very funny and intelligent tour guide, Chris. We sailed down what Chris, and most of Fort Lauderdale calls the “Venice of America,” Fort Lauderdale’s historic New River. We saw Millionaire’s Row, packed with homes of the Rich and Famous, breathtaking Mega Yachts, and super mansion style homes beyond belief.

After cruising down “Venice of America” we stopped off at their very own tropical isle where you can watch an awesome alligator show, saw some of the prettiest and exotic birds, lemurs and monkeys, and even held a baby alligator or and took pictures with it. After posing for several pictures with the baby alligator, we cleaned up and had a couple of hot dogs. The menu was more than enough stocked – burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, chips, ice cream, soda and so much more. There was a gift shop that we didn’t visit because we were pressed for time. At the beginning of the tour, we were warned about transportation being on time and leaving promptly. We didn’t want to chance that. So, after the alligator show, we headed back to the riverboat. All in all. If you’re ever down in Fort Lauderdale, look Jungle Queen up. On a scale of 1-10, I give it a solid 12! Try it. You’ll love it!
